When I moved to the UAE, I thought I was ready. I already had years of experience as a welder back in Egypt. I knew my craft. I was good with a torch. But what I quickly learned is that being a professional welder here means meeting a completely different set of standards, quality controls, and certifications.

My skills were solid, but my paperwork wasn’t right for the local market. To be a serious candidate for top companies in the Emirates, I needed to master the exact specifications they use and, most importantly, get that recognized KHDA-attested certificate.

That’s when I realized I needed a quality training, not just a school. That’s when I found We Aspire.

Retooling My Skills to Meet UAE Standards

I discovered the Welding Training Program at We Aspire, which was exactly what I needed. It wasn’t about learning to weld from scratch; it was about refining my existing knowledge and making sure my technique was perfect for the most in-demand processes here: SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW.

The three-month program felt less like a classroom and more like a dedicated workshop. Our trainer, Mr. Junlan was relentless in pushing us to work with the precision and patience demanded by high-level UAE projects. They didn’t just teach the skills; they embedded the quality mindset required to pass the stringent industry checks.

The true test, and the absolute highlight, was the 100-hour internship at a real factory, Gilani Mobility. This is where the old skills met the new standards. I had to quickly adapt to the strict safety protocols and performance expectations of a live industrial environment. Every weld I performed built my confidence and proved to myself (and future employers) that I could deliver under pressure.

Turning Certification into Career

Completing the training and receiving that official KHDA-attested certificate from We Aspire was the moment everything changed. That certificate wasn’t just proof of my training; it was the recognized qualification that validated my skills according to the UAE’s highest standards. It was the key to opening doors that had previously been closed.

Not long after, I was thrilled to get an offer letter from a company in Al Ain, a major regional company.

Today, I’m not just a welder; I’m a KHDA Certified professional welder working on important projects at Al Ain. Every time I put on my gear, I’m reminded of the crucial step I took to align my talent with the required local certification. I’m proud to be working in an environment that values craftsmanship and precision, backed by the right credentials.

Why Certification Matters More Than Experience Alone

If you’re a skilled professional moving to the UAE, you know that great experience isn’t always enough. You need the right stamp of approval. We Aspire provided me with:

  • The training to meet UAE quality benchmarks.
  • The KHDA-attested certificate for immediate employment eligibility.
  • The real-world internship to practice the standards in a live setting.

If you’re ready to shape your future in the Emirates, you need to get certified and get recognized. Don’t wait—take that first step today.

Your talent is the fire, but the right certification is the spark that starts something extraordinary.
